During the early weeks of postpartum, there will be many beautiful moments, full of tenderness and connection. It is a time when parents experience the wonder of a new life, each little noise and smile bringing immense joy. However, this period can also be overwhelming with fatigue, and the challenges of adjusting to the transition into parenthood.

Having a supportive presence can make a significant difference in this transition. The first weeks are not only about caring for the newborn, but also about healing and nurturing the new parents. When parents receive the care they need, they can better enjoy these early days and build a strong foundation for their family.

Every parent deserves the support that fosters their wellbeing, allowing them to relish in the joyous moments while also navigating the complexities of their new roles. By offering understanding, resources, and companionship, I can help transform this time into a period of growth and healing, ensuring that no parent feels alone in the journey ahead. Together, we can cultivate an environment where as parents you feel empowered and supported, enabling you to embrace the beauty of early parenthood fully.

'“My boss at work has twins, and gave me just one piece of advice while I was pregnant with my own: get nighttime help. I’m glad I listened, and even more glad that Genevieve is the person we chose for the job.

While I was interviewing doulas, Genevieve immediately stood out from the rest for her clear communication, evident depth of knowledge about newborns as well as the postpartum period for mothers, and her enthusiasm about working with twins in particular. From there it was an easy choice to move forward with her.

After a difficult labor and recovery in the hospital, as first-time parents, it was overwhelming adjusting to life with two newborns back at home. Genevieve quickly became our lifeline to sanity, and we counted the hours until her arrival each weeknight. Her grace and calm encouragement in the face of two crying babies each night helped everybody regulate - babies and parents alike.

We kept Genevieve on 5 nights a week for 6 months total, and are so glad we did. She provided invaluable support to me as I worked to establish breastfeeding against difficult odds, support to my husband as he adjusted to new fatherhood, and of course wonderful loving care for our twins at night, allowing both of us to get a shot at some real sleep.

Genevieve’s knowledge, warmth, professionalism, and genuine support made a tremendous positive difference in our adjustment to life as new parents of twins. I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone considering night doula support for their growing family. I truly don’t know how we would have been able to go the distance through that incredibly challenging newborn period without her.”

“We had our first experience with a night doula with our second child, and really wished we had one for our first. Genevieve was one of my biggest supporters leading up to delivery, post delivery, and especially during the nights she was here with us. She helped keep me calm when our baby was in and out of NICU, she was understanding when we had unexpected house maintenance, and she was loving and caring towards me and my baby when we needed her most. Having the extra help made all the difference in the world, and we highly recommend Genevieve specifically for her experience, good energy, and genuine love for postpartum support!”

“Genevieve is an absolute gem and a true baby whisperer. From the start, she was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and attentive to our family’s needs and preferences. She never imposed her methods but instead worked with us to create a plan that aligned with our parenting style and goals. Her care for our baby  was exceptional – she handled everything from feeding and bathing to putting him to bed, ensuring he followed a healthy routine. She woke me to pump while letting my husband sleep, respecting our individual preferences.

Genevieve consistently went above and beyond, coming over before her official start date to help me with feeding and providing valuable tips and resources. She not only cared for our baby but also supported me as a new mom, teaching me essential skills like baby massage and bathing. Her thoughtful notes during the night kept us informed and reassured. Even outside of her shifts, she was always just a text away, ready to offer advice and recommendations.

Genevieve’s warmth, flexibility, and expertise made our lives easier, and I can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“My husband and I feel so lucky to have had Genevieve as our postpartum doula for six weeks. From day one, she brought a calming, reassuring energy into our home—exactly what we needed during those overwhelming early newborn days. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, always eager to learn more, and made us feel completely supported as first-time parents.

In those early days when my milk hadn’t yet come in, Genevieve was a steady, reassuring presence. She encouraged me to keep going and never made me feel like I was falling short. She patiently guided me through the process, helping with latch techniques, pumping routines, and overall breastfeeding strategies that made all the difference. Thanks to her support, my baby is now exclusively on breastmilk.

She also taught us so much about babies—everything from how to burp them and choose the right bottles, to soothing techniques for colic and gas.

It’s the thoughtful touches that really set her apart—like showing up with homemade tea to support relaxation and lactation, or quietly bringing me everything I needed for my midnight pumps so I didn’t even have to get out of bed. She took care of both me and my baby with so much empathy, and always adapted to whatever the day called for—whether it was folding laundry or offering emotional support through the baby blues.

And best of all—my baby absolutely adored Genevieve. It gave me such peace of mind to know my baby was in the care of someone she loved and who truly cared for her, allowing me to rest and recover without guilt.

I’m endlessly grateful for the support she gave us during one of the most vulnerable periods of our lives. Genevieve is kind, thoughtful, and truly genuine.”

“Genevieve joined us for 8 weeks when our preemie baby was already home for a month. The 3 days a week that Genevieve was with us allowed us to get some much needed rest. We knew our first baby was being cared for by someone so nurturing, sweet, patient, and experienced.

Genevieve brought us tea, gave us useful tips, and just listened to us with no judgment. From the moment we first spoke, we knew we wanted to have her join us in this special - yet vulnerable time.

We wholeheartedly recommend her to any family needing night support. Our baby is now older and we still keep in touch and certainly miss Genevieve!”
